Mega Sushi - Coquitlam, British Columbia

Visited BC for the first time and was recommended this restraunt. I can't stop recommending it myself. My family and I loved every dish. We will certainly visit when you come back. Food is fast and fresh. Staff is polite and friendly.

Our neighbourhood sushi joint that the whole family loves. It's easy to order from their website and pick it up. We've also stopped in after practice and dined in restaurant for an awesome late dinner. Small and cozy, it’s nicely located near Mundy Park, one of my favourite places to hang. Unfortunately, my first dining experience here is also my last as ingredients used weren’t fresh. Rice was so stale that I could barely swallow the second piece of avocado sushi. They didn’t have enough ... avocado for the avocado roll and so they added cucumbers to it without first informing me of it. Salad, abundant but browning quickly as I ate along and my lunch lasted less than an hour. Batter on tempura was the right amount but sadly, not fresh, and neither was the spring roll. Terriyaki tofu on bean sprouts and cabbage was okay. Low key authentic-style Japanese eatery with all the traditional favourites and chef-created special rolls. The food tasted fresh, arrived quickly & sashimi portions were generous. We saw many people doing take-out while we were dining so this must be a local haunt as the menu was reasonably priced

Best BC roll I've ever had. Crunchy salmon skin with occasional meat, also with a delicious teriyaki sauce (no artificial crab meat, which i hate that a lot of other sushi places do). Then balance the sweetness with a spicy tuna/salmon roll or a spicy agadashi tofu. Small little restaurant, seems ... to be family ran, servers are nice and the chefs don't look stressed out. Always a good experience when I eat here. Parking is not bad, there's more parking below towards Save-on. Read more
