Red Robin - Coquitlam, British Columbia

Came in on a Tuesday night for dinner. We have not been to this location before, but used to frequent the Burnaby location before it closed permanently. The place was a little busy when we arrived, which was expected as it was very hot outside. We were seated ... right away. It went mostly downhill from there. We ordered burgers, my husband got the Bonsai burger and I got the avocado burger with no bun (wheat allergy). The server misheard me and thought I ordered the mushroom burger. Thankfully she checked the burger for allergies, and when she mentioned that the mushrooms might not be ok for me, she got the order right. Drinks arrived promptly and nice and cold. Food took over 30 minutes to arrive. The excuse we were given was there's no air conditioning in the kitchen. I'm not sure what that has to do with the food taking so long, as both my husband and I are chefs, and used to working in 35+ degree workplaces. Both our burgers arrived burnt. My husband couldn't eat his and I could only eat half of mine. We asked to speak to the manager. The manager never came by, but did take both burgers off our bill. When the hostess came by to take our payment, we said we will pay when we're ready to leave, as we weren't finished our drinks yet. She then took the bill with her when she left the table, even though we hadn't paid yet. The whole experience left us with a sour taste and sadly we will not be back. Read more

Nice restaurant with lots of parking. Unlimited sides is nice but doubt people actually get to order seconds as the portions are generous. Fond of creative menu like the avocado bacon smash burger and especially the lava queso burger. Friendly and efficient staff and service. Great for family meals.

The server was amazing. The atmosphere was not bad a little cold inside. The food good as always and their allergies ap is an industry leader makes it relaxing to be able to eat and and do normal things without thinking you are going to get sick. Old school diner vibes, really chill environment. The staff are very friendly. excellent service. The burgers taste awesome and I love the bottomless fries options. Would definitely go back and would recommend.

Went in to this place because my friend had an account and they give a free burger on your birthday. We ordered beef burger and a vegan burger, I didn’t pay attention to the menu and was surprised to see my burger in lettuce instead of bun but that’s ... my fault because the waitress, who was super nice, told us that we could choose any burger and have the patty replaced with vegan. Burgers were nice and juicy, the fries both yam and regular tasted very good, the seasoning on the fries was standout. What’s amazing is that they offer bottomless sides so you can keep enjoying.
