Stanley’s Fish and Grill - Cobourg, Ontario

Looks can be deceiving. This restaurant could desperately need some major renovation. The food is exquisite, but pricey.

Have eaten here once, no complaints about the food or service. Washroom (mens) was bright and clean. Our table had a wobble, but I rotated it 90 degrees and it settled down. There is a step up to enter the front door, but after that it's all ... on one level, so not perfectly accessible, but if you are with someone, the step shouldn't be a major holdback. One word of warning though, their closing hours are simply a guideline. If things are quiet, they'll pull the plug and roll up the sidewalk. Numerous times I've been surprised to find them closed well ahead of the posted lock-up time. Can't blame them if the weather is bad or whatever. No flow, no go. Call ahead to ask how late.... Very nice. Family had Haddock & Halibut dinner. Service was very pleasant and fast. Highly recommend it. Food tastes good.
