On our way to Harrison Hot Springs for the weekend, my family and I stopped by Bravo Restaurant & Lounge in Chilliwack for dinner. The service was excellent, and the food exceeded expectations for a small city. We ordered the steak medium rare, and it was perfectly cooked. For me Bravos is the #1 high end restaurant in Chilliwack. If maybe the only 1. I've been enjoying the food, cocktails, and atmosphere there since when Damian and Louis, the original owners, created it. It was our first time trying this restaurant after hearing many good things about them. They did not disappoint. For starters, we shared the seared calamari in a sesame reduction. I was pleasantly surprised at how tasty it was. The sauce was savory with a touch of spicy sourness from ... the kimchi. It was very perfect for dipping the sourdough bread. For the entree, I ordered the AAA beef tenderloin. It was cooked to a perfect reddish pink. Absolutely tender and smooth to the point of almost melting in your mouth. For dessert, we had the tasters trio of the chocolate creameaux with brownie, Kahlua cheesecake and the vanilla bean creme brulee. All 3 were good but my favorite was the creme brulee. I'm not a big fan of creme brulee but this was to die for. It was not too sweet and the texture was smooth and creamy. They added a candle as we were celebrating my sister's birthday. Absolutely amazing, delicious food. Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful service. Went for our anniversary dinner and had a truly wonderful time. Fiancee got the wagu steak appie and it was melt in your mouth amazing. Prawns were spectacular. We were both thrilled with the mains as well as the desserts we ... got. It was our wedding anniversary and we wanted a really good meal and not have to clean up. We’re good home cooks so we’re picky about restaurant food. We took the recommendations for Bravo’s and are we ever glad we did. It was a fantastic meal. The tenderloin was amazing ... as was everything else. We really liked that the portions were not huge.
