Swiss Chalet - Chilliwack, British Columbia

As soon as we walked in, sign told us to wait to be seated. We waited for several minutes and no one came to escort us into the dining room. We seated ourselves and took our own menus. We waited several minutes for a server to take our order. ... Finally a server came and took the order. We placed our entree orders and when they came, we had to ask for cutlery, as there was none on the table. My cutlery (fork) was bent and the napkin that it came in was shredded at the top. I ordered 1/3 rib and chicken combo and I did not get a knife to cut the ribs. I had to ask for finger bowls when done. The dining room was not busy, there were approximately 10-12 people in the whole room. I was shocked when cheese was extra for my partners burger as well as bacon? Since when? For lacklustre service the prices were high. chicken was dry but ribs fine. Burger was undercooked. Extremely disappointed today, for usually one of my fav chicken places. Service was good. We were seated very quickly. The food was hot. The chicken was a little on the dry side it was mostly bone and barely any meat. We did have a coupon for a two can dine for 17.99. Megan was good. Overall the experience was good.

Avoid weekend takeout. They are not capable of dealing with evening dinner rush. I came in at 7, they said order would be ready in 30-40 minutes. I came back at 730 and waited till 755 to get my food. It’s up to the customer to remind the staff and double check ... they’re working on the order. Also make sure your food is hot. Lots of old orders sitting outside of insulated bags on the floor. The food is not bad if it’s fresh. I might go back on a weekday but I won’t order from here on a weekend again. Read more

It has been 5 years since I had a Swiss Chalet. My last experience was memorable not in a good way. Like any Swiss Chalet, nothing has changed. They have the same look and feel for ages. You don't go here for ambiance or nostalgia. You go here to eat. ... Best chicken and ribs. The staff was friendly and nice. That is all you need to enjoy your meal. Read more
