I paid over $900 for a complete mess. I've been to harvest cafe and hello tucker numerous times and always grab their donuts as they have a beautiful presentation and have tasted amazing. We decided to order their donuts instead of getting a wedding cake. At $4 a donut we knew this was a ... splurge but decided it was worth our previous experience. When I placed the order and paid for half I was told the donuts could be picked up at 10 am the day of my wedding and I needed to pay the other half 48 hours before pick up. I paid 5 days before my wedding confirming once again they'd be prepared. The day of my wedding at 11am my father inlaw went to pick up our order. No one knew what he was talking about. The order was "lost" they assured him they could have the donuts made and they would even deliver them to my venue 30 minutes away themselves by 5pm. My father inlaw did not want to stress me out before my wedding so he called and told me they were behind. What was delivered was an absolute mess. They claim they were delivered in excellent condition and are trying to pass blame on my venue for not storing them properly once delivered. My venue has notes about the entire interaction. I've reached out to multiple bakers and have posted my experience in local wedding vendor groups and they all agree the donuts were rushed and iced too hot. Not to mention the beyonce donut I have had in the past and in all their photos are not covered in sprinkles. I've spoken with the owner who is taking no accountability for the lost order, who is passing blame on my venue for not storing them properly. I've been offered 150 credit to their store, when my tip alone was 126. If you are considering a large order for a special event, I would reconsider. Read more
