Great place. Have been here before but not for a while. A great place for natural foods and excellent Anita’s products. Bulk bins for organic sunflower seeds, pumpkin seeds and a wide selection of grains Have had the bread flower and this trip was for Anita’s 7 grain cereal. ... They have a bakery there and lots of beautiful local produce. Of note were the incredible selection of mushrooms which looked fresh and enticing. . They also had some pretty magnificent candy beets. I love buying many things from the Local Harvest. The atmosphere is lovely & it’s a joy to stop in. They have excellent compost for the garden, really fresh produce from their farm & I buy organic grains and flour here too. Their sourdough breads and treats are excellent. Great ... quality! Recently my car wouldn’t start when I finished shopping there, and the owner’s son tried to help me troubleshoot it. Even though he’s busy running the bakery he gave me a ride all the way home! Absolutely love it here. I’ve been twice for a tour, once with my friends and once with work and loved it both times. I would highly recommend getting a tour as Dan is so full of knowledge and incredibly patient and kind. We went home with such fresh produce, never ... had a more delicious watermelon. Read more

This is my new favourite store! We happened to be there during Mother’s Day celebrations and it was a fantastic introduction to this wonderful place. It was a Saturday so they had their wood fired pizza oven on and all I can say is WOW! Brilliant pizza. I had the ... mushroom pizza which includes a thyme cream sauce, oyster mushroom, kale, Gouda cheese, it was divine. I could only finish half as it was a hot day and had the rest later. They have a lovely seating area which is sheltered from the sun with a nice breeze. Everyone was very friendly and the quality of the produce is top notch. Their multigrain sourdough bread is excellent, everything we had from here I can’t say enough good about. The best applesauce I have ever had and it is unsweetened, sugar free. Since it was a celebration they had local vendors and were giving away free full size samples of various in store products. I wish we didn’t live over an hour away I would come here every week! I had the opportunity to visit the Local Harvest Farm and Market a couple of weeks ago and attended their Gardening Course. We started indoors learning some basics in the classroom then we headed outside for some examples of how to lay down seedlings or transplants into a plot. ... After planting we had the opportunity to start our own seedling tray with over 70 seeds provided by the farm. I planted things that I never knew existed. I got to take the tray home and placed it on my deck. Let's see what I will grow on my patio this year. Very excited and looking forward to learning more and taking more photos and videos.
