Shawarma Place - Carleton Place, Ontario

We're so happy that the new owners put signs out advertising the change of management because we had been avoiding going here for the three years we've lived in CP due to poor reviews. The new owner is extremely nice. We had excellent service and the food was really good! The ... meat was well seasoned and not dry, the veggies fresh and overall we were really happy with our wraps. We've been going to one shawarma restaurant in Ottawa for 6 years and we have been converted. The prices were decent too. The only thing is that the garlic sauce could maybe be a bit stronger on the garlic but that's also just a personal preference. We will definitely be back! Read more

I want to start by saying how nice the new management seems to be. They are very kind, and the service is great. That said, I really hope they can make a few improvements to the food. My main complaint is with the chicken plate I ordered. It was $22, and ... the container was only half full - most Shawarma places in the area pack it full, and you can easily feed 2 people. The rice was pretty much plain - no spices at all. The hummus was also very thin and bland - maybe canned chick peas, or they’re skimping on the oil and tahini? The potatoes were very plain but were at least hot and fresh. The chicken was actually very good, except for the small portion. I also wanted to get a mixed plate, but they were out of beef at 5pm on a week day. I’ll probably be back again because the location is convenient, but hopefully there are some improvements! Hands down worst shawarma plate I ever had ...lol chicken bone dry, rice plain, potatos are just fried potatoes...man and the smallest portion then thrn fill half thr plate with garlic and hummus....like.... really... really... 26 dolla4s for that? .... I'm speechless

NEW OWNERS ARE GREAT!! Food was fantastic! Went here tonight and ordered 2 med sandwich combos. 1 chicken and 1 mixed. Both sandwiches were great, chicken was delicious and juicy and the flavor and texture of the beef was amazing. Potatoes were hot fresh and crispy! Garlic sauce is nice and ... balanced, everything has great flavour while not being overpowering. Also, the onions are sliced super thin, which I appreciate so much! These new owners are an absolute delight and very pleasant to chat with, I really wish them success. Will for sure be back. Read more

Best shawarma I’ve had in a long time!! The new owners have really stepped this place up and are super nice and generous. Definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area or need somewhere quick to stop for some great food!
