Social Media Marketing (SMM) Specialist For Restaurant Industry
About the role
The chosen candidate will be responsible for working with our team to manage our client’s Instagram accounts (mostly pubs and restaurants), as well as help grow our online business and help growing our social accounts for MainMenus, VancityEats and VancityDrinks. Core activities in the role include photography, content strategy development, outreach to find new clients and some sales. The successful applicant will feel confident working within, and alongside, a broad spectrum of online marketing activities and clients. There’s lots of variety in the role, lots of flexibility, lots of restaurant tastings, and lots to learn. This is a full-time position reporting directly to the owners and includes a mix of working from home and on location at our client’s businesses.
Candidate MUST Reside in the Lower Mainland Area of BC
Activities and responsibilities
- Work with the team and clients to develop social media campaign strategies.
- Photography (Camera equipment will be provided) – for both Food (mostly food), Restaurants interiors and exterior Lifestyle shots and headshots
- Photo Editing
- Ability to create reels and stories on Instagram
- Work closely with our network of influencers and continue to build out our influencer program.
- Outreach to restaurants via our Instagram accounts and Facebook/email to book collaborations.
- Present and sell our services to clients while on location.
What we’re looking for
- A Foodie!
- Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
- Photography and photo editing skills
- Some domain knowledge of online advertising, email, social media, content, and influencer marketing.
- Creative mindset with some basic design skills.
- Must be hard-working, enthusiastic, and have a willingness to excel in the role.
- Must have own vehicle and be willing to travel to clients from Vancouver to Chilliwack.

- Salary: $45,000.00-$50,000.00 per year + Car Allowance + Commission on sales + Bonuses.
