Best fried spring rolls and dip I have ever had! Have eaten in and ordered take away many times over the years and have always enjoyed the food. Good variety and price also for the lunch menu. Soups are fantasitc too and very fresh.

We had some friends over, and regrettably decided to order from Mostly Thai again. This would be our 3rd time ordering here…even though the first two times we ordered from there were awful. What were we thinking!!!??? From the food taking almost 90 minutes to arrive (we live ~2km ... from the restaurant), and it arriving ice cold. All the noodles were all in one big blob…and couldn't be separated. With the exception of the spring rolls…which were good…we had issue with almost every other dish. Based on my experience, I won't be ordering here again. 1. Noodles - ICE COLD. They were cooled into big blobs, that couldn't be separated. 2. Glass Noodle Salad - All the shrimps were NOT DEVEINED and were sliced lengthwise. There were strands of poop through out the salad. Nobody touched it. We threw it away. Disgusting. 3. Fresh Rolls - Also with shrimp that still had there poop shoots. Nobody ate it. We threw it away. 4. Satay - Not one person could bite threw the beef satay…which was 90% gristle. Couldn't even bite through it. The chicken satay…was bone dry. You could chip a tooth trying to eat it. 5. Curry - We asked if it came with rice. They said yes. It didn't. 6. Rest of the dishes were noodle dishes…and again…arrived ice cold and coagulated into one big blob. We spend $120 on dinner, and were extremely disappointed. Don't waste your time with Mostly Thai. Don't waste your time. We ordered take out...so I can't comment too much on the wait staff...but the gentleman who was at the front desk when I came into pick up my order had the personality of bump on a log. No matter how I tried to make chit chat ... to find out the status of my order...he couldn't muster up the strength to say more than a one word answer. As for the food. I give it a 2 out of 10. We ordered the bun...and what is supposed to be rice noodles was spaghetti. They were severely over cooked and practically mush. There wasn't any fresh herbs nor any cucumber. They used zucchini instead which just didn't make sense. We also order cold rolls...and wound up throwing all 5 in the trash as the noodles again were mush, and the rolls so overstuffed that it couldn't even be handled. Plus the meat had bones and gristle and couldn't even be chewed. One word...disgusting. This is the second time we went here, as everyone deserves a 2nd chance. But don't waste your time!!! The food was awful, flavourless and I will never waste a penny at this restaurant. It is a shame, as we love Thai food (and this was not) and live right around the corner, we will not be back to Almost Thai. If you are not big on authentic Thai, and are ok with "westernizing" food then go here. Otherwise, don't waste your $$. Read more

The best Thai food I've ever had, and I've enjoyed Thai food in many places. The spring rolls, golden bags, and other appetizers must have been freshly made, the ingredients were recognizable and the flavours were fresh and meshed together well. The fish balls were salty, but the ... flavour was delicious, more fresh ingredients, and they were NOT rubbery. The mango salad was good, though they leave out the chili flakes by default, which was a surprise. The bass fillet with snow peas, asparagus, and bamboo was light and flaky, with a lovely sauce. And all the same prices paid at average restaurants! Extremely good value for the money. Read more

I ordered the pad thai lunch special and golden curry for delivery, food arrived very quickly compared to how long other places usually take to get here. For the price its a great value especially since my dishes came with spring rolls ($5 extra at other restaurants) Portions are good, ... lots of meat and veggies and sauce :) I will order again.
