Harvey’s - Cambridge, Ontario

Ran out of Swiss chalet chicken again. 3 time in a row I have come and minimum of 10 minute wait. I’m not sure what the issue is but I put myself through nursing school cooking chicken at Swiss Chalet and never once ran out of chicken to serve.

Ordered lunch on-line, walked in as they were packaging my order. There was 4 staff members working and they all walked by me at least once. Not one of them acknowledged me and there was not another customer in the store. The young man who was working the ... counter walked by a second time and proceeded to wash his hands. When he turned around, I asked if the order sitting under the warming light was for Sherry; he said it was so I told him it was mine. He advised me that he didn’t realize it was mine. Well, obviously not you didn’t even acknowledge me to know why I was there. Needless to say, our lunch was cold, pop was warm and I won’t be back. Had coupons so decided to grab a burger combo for supper. Really disappointed that they no longer substitute salad for fries as a side. Fries were not well done as requested, and recommend you eat immediately as they don’t travel well. I like that you can choose your own toppings ... but the bun was stone cold which took away from the burger. Not in a rush to return. Read more

Tell me these fries look edible at all? I wish there was option for 0 star. Just had my order 15 minutes ago. Burger smells bad . Fries look like this. Horrible horrible!! I don't eat fast food often, but worked late and knew that dinner was going to take a bit to cook so fast sounded good. I love me some Harvey's too and I've been here before. The staff at the drive through was always very friendly and service was good ... along with the food. This time, I was asked to pull into a spot out of the drive through 'for a couple minutes while they are waiting on the patties'. I entered the restaurant 35 minutes later to see if they even started my order otherwise give me my money back. There were many people waiting more than 30 minutes as well being told that the person on the grill was new. They tried to find my order and had trouble. Then found a bag and said this was it and the guy bringing it out couldn't find my car. I pointed at it through the window directly in front, spot #2, with my license plate visible and he responded, 'ya he's new, sorry'. I asked how long it had been sitting there and he said it was fresh as he just came in, which was a lie because I was keeping my eye on the door and my car and no one approached it, unless they went to another parking lot out a back door. Anyway, took the food home and it was not great. Soggy burgers, cold fries. Plus my frings were missing the onion rings! It was obvious it was 30 plus minutes to receive your order, I said you should probably tell people that when they order so they have a choice. Instead they take payment and advise to pull up for 2 minutes and leave you wondering what's going on 20, 30, 40 minutes later. The response from the manager was 'We are telling people that for the Swiss Chalet food'. Not sure what I'm supposed to do with that information, but clearly my opinion didn't make a difference. I'll still eat Harvey's, just never returning to this location. When people lie this much, not sure I trust them handling my food. Next time just be honest Team. Read more
