Zoup! - Cambridge, Ontario

(Keep in mind I ordered here before the new employment) I went to this location to get lunch when home sick from school. The staff there were quite friendly, and made no mistakes with our order. However as we were waiting for our food, I remember coughing lightly into my ... elbow and getting nasty looks from the other people dining there. I made sure to stay away from everyone, cover my mouth, and sanitize so there really is no excuse for giving dirty looks to a sick teenager. (Especially as this was way after COVID)I also remember an impatient old man, who has arrived after I had, continuously asking the chef when his food was going to be ready. When he got his food, he very rudely asked where he could find mineral water. When the employee pointed to where it was, the man began to yell at the employee because it was spring water and not mineral water. He lectured the worker about not knowing different kinds of water before leaving the store and “taking his business elsewhere.” I believe the worker handled this very well, but it negatively impacted my experience atmosphere wise. Stopped here on our road trip. Was tired of the typical restaurants so thought we would give it a try. Had the cranberry almond salad and my husband had the grilled cheese with tomatoes soup. Great place if you want a cup of soup but you have to be willing to pay a fortune for that soup. A small soup is 8.99 and an extra large soup is over $20 they have a large variety of soups cream and regular. I’m so happy I stopped in today to try out Zoup! It was truly an amazing experience. The staff and manager are very warm and welcoming friendly people. They offered me samples before I decided which soup I would like to get. it was hard to decide because they were so delicious but ... before going I had already picked out online that I wanted to have the lobster bisque and tomato mozzarella pesto sandwich, which was one of the most delicious sandwiches I ever had.
