My husband and I just had our anniversary dinner at Modern steak Kensington and we Loved it! The food was delicious, drinks on point, dessert to die for! But what made our night even more amazing was the service we got from Marina!! This lady delivers a 5 star service! It ... was our first time here, and she made sure we understood the menu, recommended some great dishes and even entertained us with some steak history ;) absolutely amazing service!! We got a complementary tuna appetizer, a delicious chocolate dessert and a very thoughtful card for our anniversary. I’m so glad we came here for our Valentine’s Day celebration! All staff (host, food runners, support) were so hospitable & accommodating from the second we walked in. Our server, Marina, was the star of the night!! She made us feel so welcomed and had amazing recommendations for food & ... knowledge behind all of the cuts & origins. As a younger couple, I absolutely loved that she treated us & other diners with respect and kindness— and she even gave several cute freebies to make the night feel extra special. Water was always refilled without having to be asked, food came out fast, delicious, and perfectly cooked. I loved how funny and personable all the team was & even on a busy Saturday night, they were constantly looking for how to make your experience better. I’ve been to almost every steakhouse in YYC & this Modern Steak is definitely my favourite ☺️ If you’re looking for somewhere that will make you feel valued as a customer & actually leave happy despite spending steakhouse prices, this is the place to go! We came here for an anniversary dinner and it didn't disappoint.We speak English very bad,and when we saw the menu and price we was shocked. But the waiter Dominik was very polite and patiend and explained everything to us and helped us with the choice. What a fantastic meal. I took the wife out for her birthday and was not disappointed. Our server was Patrick, and he helped us through the evening. After a great explanation of the menu and a recommendation, we went with the filet trio. Absolutely amazing quality, cooked perfectly medium rare. ... 👌 As I don't drink, Patrick made me a fresh non-alcoholic mojito, It was delicious.
