Super cute and cosy cafe with a large menu selection. Soups are homemade - had the mushroom soup and it was hearty and very tasty. Staff were friendly and served our meal with a smile. The atmosphere is very typical of early 2000’s coffee shops. The seating is tight but ... surprisingly offers many small nooks to enjoy a closer coffee connection with your friend. This little place is a hidden gem! The food is outstanding and the prices more than fair. Service is attentive without hovering and your order comes to you with a smile. I am a disabled senior.. the Cafe is easily accessible and there is close parking .. and lots of it. Now ... that the weather is co-operating the little outside tables will come into play and the patrons can spill outside into the sunshine. In support of the quality of food and confectionery, I noticed umpteen people dropping in to pick up take away lunches and beverages. Friends Cafe is a nice, cozy Cafe that serves a variety of sweet baked goods and paninis/sandwiches. The space is fairly cramped when there are a lot of customers, especially during the morning rush. We ordered an Ironman sandwich, a breakfast Bob, a Canadiano and a mango peach ... refresher. I'm not sure if they need more help in the front of the cafe but they were unable to keep up with the customers coming in and couldn't keep the tables cleaned. I had to ask a nice young lady to wipe the table for us. The food was tasty though, lots of cheese and ham. For a small sandwich, it was pretty filling. The refresher I had was nice and sweet and flavorful and the canadiano had enough caffeine in it to wake the dead if that's what you're into.
