Check out TOP-10 Best Ramen restaurants in Calgary, AlbertaReviews for Japanese Noodle House in Calgary, Alberta
Ordered the seafood soba noodles. Ended up wit a pretty bad case of food poisoning, so it’s evident that the ingredients weren’t fresh. Interior of the restaurant was very homey, almost the the point of unprofessionalism. There was a handbag left to dry in the washroom, and the couple running ... the restaurant were too preoccupied with watching tv to provide water refills or to give us our bill. Read more
6 stars. The food was sooooo good and the experience so authentic. The staff was very attentive and nice. Gyoza was probably the best I've ever had. Yakisoba and Pork Ramen also amazing. Don't go if you're pretentious.
Definitely would classify this as a little neighborhood gem of a place. It's a no frills, homestyle restaurant that offers up Japanese comfort food along with the usual sushi offerings. We tried the spicy pork miso ramen (definitely not the most authentic but still very tasty and warms the insides!), ... Okonomiyaki was great, they serve it on a heated cast iron plate that allows for some deep browning on the bottom (yum!). We had a few rolls, but the star of them being the negitoro roll with the fresh green onions and soft tuna belly! Rice was a little lose but I'll take a delicious freshly made roll over a logistical challenge anyday. We also had the gyoza and salmon sashimi both of which we'd order again next time. So bring your comfy pants and enjoy... Read more
Took my girlfriend here today for a late lunch and it still has the same taste. Love that it has that home feel and kind folks that run the place. Enjoy the best "Beef udon" in the city! Also try the "Tong Lat suh" really good!
Food is kinda expensive for a not so umami food. Moreover its my first time eating rolls with furikake on it. Moreover the ramen taste like water with gochujang on it. Not gonna comeback again.
