We went here in the winter around November. The food was delicious. I wanted to try everything on the menu! I couldnt decide. The atmosphere was really really nice and the servers were very knowledgeable in the menu and had it memorized. Ordering was smooth, and the food was very ... fresh! The only reason for 4 stars on atmosphere is that it was a little cold as the temperature was -30 outside at the time and it seemed the restaurant heating was trying to keep up. We've been going to The Sultan's Tent, at three different locations, for over 20 years now. It's not like any other restaurant in Calgary, and the Moroccan food is also unique, distinct from other middle-eastern cuisines. Everything - the decode, the service, and especially the food, is done with such ... attention to detail, and you can see the long experience in everything. We shared the royal feast, which was plenty for the two of us. The soup and salad were very tasty. The bstilla was good, but small. The chicken tagine, however, was a generous size. If you are looking for an authentic Maroccan dining experience then this is the place for you. The design is simple and cozy with tent like fabric and lots of area rugs. The food is home made, fresh and fantastic. Very recommend
