Amazing food, loved the eggplant appetizer and the kubideh! Food was fresh and delicious. The lamb souvlaki was tasty but more greek than persian. Would definitely go back for the kubideh and kash ke bademjoon appy!
This is our first time here, nice and cozy. Food is absolutely delicious, the menu has a fantastic selection of Kabobs. The staff here truly cares about their guests. They were attentive, courteous, and polite. highly recommend this place!!
If you're into Persian cuisine, this place is an absolute jackpot. Their kebabs are out of this world – juicy, tender, and packed with flavor. Super friendly and always ready with a smile. Trust me, you gotta check this place out if you're craving some Persian goodness!
Cozy place with excellent and affordable Persian food. We went 3 times this week and the quality was consistent. All the meats (chicken, beef and lambs) in the souvlaki and koobideh were cooked perfectly. The mirza ghasemi and potaties were also very tasty. Definitely a place we would visit regularly.
House of Kebab is one of the few Persian cuisine options in Calgary, and possibly one of the oldest. As someone who has visited many times, I have mixed feelings about this place. On one hand, they serve some exceptional dishes like Dizi and Kaleh Pacheh .These specialties are consistently ... delicious and showcase the authentic flavors of Persian cuisine. However, my experiences with the rest of their menu have been inconsistent. At times, the food is prepared with great skill and professionalism, but on other occasions, it falls flat and feels like a disappointing meal. This lack of consistency can be quite frustrating. The interior design and cleanliness of House of Kebab leave much to be desired. The place feels neglected and has an almost abandoned vibe, which detracts from the dining experience. The ambiance is far from inviting, and it often feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. This aspect of the restaurant is particularly off-putting, and I believe that investing in better design and cleanliness could significantly enhance their appeal and potentially increase their customer base.It seems that the lack of competition in Persian cuisine in Calgary has led to a complacent attitude from the owners. They don't seem motivated to make improvements, perhaps because they don't feel the pressure to do so. If a new Persian restaurant with good quality food and a better atmosphere were to open, I would definitely choose that one over Ho the overall experience is marred by inconsistency and a neglected ambiance. I find myself going there out of necessity rather than desire. With some much-needed attention to design and cleanliness, this place could truly shine and become a top choice for Persian cuisine in Calgary. Read more
