Noticed there was a long hair in the baba ghanoush near the end. I had already eaten more than 90% of it so just told the server about it and suggested maybe wear hair nets in the kitchen. He took it back. All good! But then another server comes back and ... says they don't have anyone with a hair that long working in the kitchen at this time. I get his logic but completely and confidently denying responsibility didn't make sense as he could see my friend was almost bald and I didn't have hair that long. I thoroughly enjoyed the shisha, choosing a delightful mix of blueberry and mint. I visited solo during a work trip, driven by a craving, and found the environment incredibly welcoming.

This is not the first time you have received service charges at Cafe Med. Many times. It has nothing to do with the $3 principle. What does this mean?? Throughout Calgary there are no service CHARGES. These are only available at Cafe Med. And not the reason Cafe Med applies a service charge without notifying ... their customers, which is not a good practice and affects both trust and credibility. Was in Calgary for work and I came here based on the reviews. The place did not disappoint. The staff was super friendly and although I was alone I was seated comfortably at a booth despite it being fairly busy on a Thursday night. The coffee was very good and ... the Mint drink was very refreshing. The shisha was perfect, super clean and not an ounce of harshness during the entire time.
