My absolute favourite chicken shawarma sandwich in Calgary. Crisped, warm pita bread wrapped around a flavourful combination of chicken, tomatoes, lettuce, just enough pickles and wonderful garlic sauce. They have it down to an art. They also offer other well prepared traditional middle eastern dishes such as hummous (Chick peas ... dip), baba ghanouj (roasted eggplant dip), fried kubbi (stuffed and spiced meat balls), meat & cheese pies as well as shisha for those who enjoy it. This is one of my most favourite places in the city and has been for awhile. The owners are kind and take a lot of pride in their food, which is prepared extremely well and the ingredients are top notch. It's really a surprise, you don't expect the ... food at a shisha place to be this good and fresh. The hummus cannot be beat, nothing even comes close in the city. It's the cleanest place for shisha I've been at in the city. I'm going to go a bit further and say there's something about this place that's quintessentially Calgary. This is a family owned business and a good place to visit. I liked the tables and lighting and went to this place pretty much every weekend because there are not many options in Calgary for a Sheesha place. However, the owner of this place is very rude and knows a ... very little about customer service. We appreciated the wife of the owner and his children for a better customer service but hated to even speak a word with the owner. The days when he is by himself, we would just walk out. Read more
