Worst donair I've ever had!!! Do not eat here!! Smallest donair I've ever been served even after asking for a large. Meat was dried out and crunchy. The garlic sauce and hummus in the cooling table had a crust on it. When I asked for cheese with it he used ... shredded cheese from the back somewhere not the strips normally used any other place I've ever gone. Just waiting to see if I get sick from eating it. My kind of place. Owner operator takes pride in his food and treats people great. I walked and and asked a couple questions and he insisted I taste a few things, and combination of things with different sauces. He wanted to make sure I got the exact right meal. The delicate flavors are unique within each side. The Donair meat is flavored and these flavors are complex and well considered. And thee rice is absolutely delicious! Get combo 10 and see what I mean!:) Thank you for feasting us

It's my first time to write restaurant review. This is the absolutely the WORST Donair I have ever had by far. Actually it is the worst restaurant I have ever been in 30 years of my entire life. I personally do not like to judge restaurant. Yet, I simply would like to warn people ... to avoid wasting your cash and having bad feeling and experience. I do not care customer service, Just quality of food is WORST and additionally: - Sweat sauce is most likely made by water and sugar with white coloring, so wrap soaks this sugar water so much and it will destroy whole wrap in a minute. lol - Rather than 3 toppings, they charge extra for each topping. Assuming, people who give more than one star should be friends, relatives, or owner himself. (Or people who were starving and have never had other Donair) Otherwise, you should try it if you are food adventurist and have fun memory;) This is definitely "Rare" place that serves really really bad food. This donair shop is the only place in Calgary I've found you can get real, genuine donairs. I've recommended all my housemates and friends to this place. The owner and his two staff (I assume one of them is his wife?) are super hospitable and friendly, the place is very ... clean (don't let the outdated decor fool you) and the food is always hot and fresh! We've been coming often enough that the owner even recognizes us and sometimes even offers us a free baklava! I'll be coming back as often as I can until I move to the U.S., because I know I'm gonna miss this place so much! Read more
