EDIT 2021: This restaurant always has been a hit or miss (on most occasions an incredible that was worth one or two misses). However the last four times I’ve gone I’ve been extremely disappointed. The fish was not cut properly and was not fresh, the rice would either be undercooked ... or it would fall apart. One of the four visits, they gave an almond size amount of rice. I’ve always had a soft spot for this restaurant, and I understand what a hard time this is for them. But for the price of the meal, the lack of quality can no longer be justified. I think I’ve given them enough chances for redemption, and I am sad to say I will no longer be a customer. PREVIOUS REVIEW: One of the best sushi restaurants in town. The place is small and cozy, and can get quiet busy so I like to go on weekdays or have a late or early dinner. It’s really easy to miss if you don’t know what you’re looking for, and the parking is almost kind of awkward. The butter fish, salmon belly and hamachi nigiri are to die for. They give really generous portions and the fish always tastes fresh and flavourful. The Cajun rock roll is a must try. And I like that they give you a salmon tempura sample at the start of the meal, super delicious. Service is polite and quick. However, it does take quiet awhile for them to bring out your food. But the presentation, quality and taste is honestly worth the wait. Read more
