Nice variety on the menu here. To start, tried some tempura and the tuna tataki -- the former was pretty solid and the latter wasn't bad. The a la carte sushi and sashimi was overall decent but the presentation was not great. Other impressions of the traditional fare: ... The ika was probably the best of what I ordered. The tamago was too cold and dense. And the botan ebi heads were perfectly deep-fried but the sashimi itself was not as fresh as I'm used to. Best sushi in town hands down. I’ve been going here since the name used to be ZEN 8 many years ago and the quality is still very good. My every solo and group experience here has been positive. For the lunch hours it’s a bit busy, but if you want a ... more quite atmosphere go after 6pm. The quality of the sushi and sashimi here comes close to the premium stuff you get in Japan.
