Check out TOP-10 Best Japanese restaurants in Calgary, AlbertaReviews for Ikemen Ramen Bar in Calgary, Alberta
One of the best Ramen in Calgary. We tried multiple others, this one is the best and closest to authentic Japanese ramen. We ordered the chicken, pork, and tried the spicy ramen. We love their chicken chasyu the most. It’s tender and tasty yet it keeps ... the chicken flavour. I also love their spicy paste on top of the spicy noodle. Shio ramen is very good, さっぱり! The price is good with the total portion. Side dishes are good but the ramen is really the focus. We also like the idea of うなぎ poutine. We went there for more than 3 times in less than 2 weeks. Service was very good too, fast and polite. Read more
Came here for an early dinner and managed to catch the happy hour that they have on Fridays and Saturdays from 3pm to 6pm. They have some cheap appies and drinks for happy hour specials. We ordered chicken chips, gyōzas, Cinnamon mochi, oyster mushrooms, green curry seafood ramen, and the ... tom yum seafood ramen. The ramens were pretty good, with the tom yum really bold in flavour and the green curry more mild (definitely like the tom yum more). The chicken chips were pretty decent though it seemed like the seasoning didn't really stick to the chips. The oyster mushrooms were similar style to the chicken chips but seemed to hold the seasoning better. The Cinnamon mochi was really good with a perfect texture of gooey chewy-ness. Overall pretty happy with our visit and can recommend it. Also nice that they have parking in the back for patrons. Read more
We absolutely loved this place. They have some unique ramen types, a few that don’t have pork broth base. We tried the Green Curry and Tom Yum [both with Seafood], both were so unique and delicious. Also, the Takoyaki was authentic and amazing. They have 2 beers on tap and 2 in ... cans, sticking to what works. The service was attentive and kind. We’ll 100% be back. Read more
Warm and neat spot for your ramen cravings while in Kensington! First of, all of their staff was amazing and always cheerful. There are plenty of seats and communal table so I don’t think this place gets really full. Ramen were okay. They serve it in a really big bowl. Serving time ... was a little slow but we don’t mind during that time. The broth was creamy and a little heavy when you try to finish all of it. The Chicken meat was so delicious, I should’ve ordered an extra. The pork cut was also tasty considering they have a perfect marbled fats. Noodles were okay, not too soggy and not too firm. Read more
Although the place and staff is nice, I did not like it. Noodles tasted like barilla pasta, with big clumps, miso broth was underwhelming, too salty but not flavorful. Pork was not tender, and the egg too runny. (More like almost raw). It’s not my first ramen in the city ... (and in general), and it was quite disappointing compare to other places I’ve been to.
