I absolutely love Matador Pizza!! It's my favourite place to go in Calgary, anytime I want pizza! My girlfriend has a gluten allergy, so we always get the gluten-free pizza. Took my family there as we were in the area. I wish I could eat here more often but we live in the SE. The service was prompt and friendly. We ordered a starter salad just so I could have my partner try the yummy homemade house dressing! We ordered a ... pizza and our son some pasta. The pizza was awesome and let me tell you they are not cheap on the cheese nor the toppings! Our son loved his pasta and he raved about the meatballs being the best he has had! I have been wanting to come for a while as I live close by and it did not disappoint. The restaurant is nicely kept and decorated inside. One thing that caught my attention is how well staff cleans the tables. Service was great. They came enough to make sure we had everything ... we needed, but not too often to be annoying. The pizza was a hit! It was thicker than I thought so be warned. If you eat 3-4 slices or regular pizzas places, you might not make it with this one. I will definitely recommend coming here! Visited Matador Pizza on a Wednesday night around 10 pm. It was quiet with just a few tables occupied, creating a cozy vibe. There was live music in the bar area, which we could hear from the dining room - not too loud, and actually pretty nice. Service was a ... highlight, our waitress was quick and friendly. Tried the Matador Special pizza and Greek Style Chicken - the chicken was fantastic, even as leftovers the next day. The pizza was too thick for my taste but my husband loved it.
