Demetris Pizza - Calgary, Alberta

I got a ready to go slice, a 500ml water, and a can of pop. It ended up costing 8.40$. A bit pricey, there were no prices on the drinks, but I saw her ring up 6$ and 2$. I can only assume either a slice of pizza is 6$ ... and drinks are $1 each. Or the pizza was 2$, and each drink was 3$.(If that's the case, I should've just got 4 slices, lol!) It was pretty pricey, but I guess I can't expect cheap in Kensington. The pizza was about average, crust was pretty stale and the pizza tasted like a frozen one from Costco. I think it had been sitting out a while as it wasn't very busy. It was good but I think I'll order fresh if I ever visit again. They only had 1 pizza ready to go at 1230pm, which makes me think they don't get many walk-in customers. I don't wanna be too much of a critic, but CPU is way cheaper and tastier, in my opinion. The menu is all written by hand in chalk. I get its a small business, but they're charging big business prices. I could have gotten a whole little ceasers pizza lol, just disappointed with the quality of my overpriced slice of pizza. Read more

I was in the NW area and decided to try an old favorite pizza haunt; that being Demetris. It has been a couple years. Unfortunately, no where near the quality and deliciousness of when the nice older couple ran it. Not really a Greek style pizza anymore. Crust is thin. Hardly ... any crust around the edge. Used to be prominent, thick, and chewy crust. Ingredients no longer plentiful or piled high as it used to be; and what a Greek pizza should be. Too bad. 😟 Read more

Pizza doesn’t even look close to the pictures or live up to the reviews. I ordered the other day off of skip the dishes, thinking this would be thick Greek style crust, with a decent amount of sauce and toppings. You know like Spiros, A1, I had my hopes thinking I ... found a decent place in the NW based on these reviews and pictures. Pizza came and it was like chewing on a thin piece of cardboard. Barely any sauce, cheese and / or toppings and cost almost $70.00 for a medium and large. Waste of money and pizza was par at best. These reviews and this place are nothing but a joke. Seriously disappointed by this one. Website said $28.95 for a 14" extra large specialty pizza but when I got there it was $32.50. The pizza was dry and overcooked probably because it took 30 minutes. The XL almost looked like a small, it was so thin an didn't look very ... big at all. It did feed two people but my jaw was sore from biting sushi hard crust and chewing so much. The flavour was good but definitely not worth the money. I won't be back. Read more
