Maharajah East Indian Restaurant - Calgary, Alberta

Have been going to Maharajah in discovery ridge for 7+ years now and have never had a bad experience or less than perfect food. Amazing customer service and hands down the best Indian food in Calgary. Do yourself a favour and try it out!

We order from here regularly - especially when the food is really good and abundant - great value! Shout out to faves butter chicken and aloo gobi! Always happy to support this local, family run business - they are extremely friendly and customer focused!

I always ordered the lunch/dinner special and I was always happy with the portion size for the price, the meal includes two curries, rice & naan, but today I wanted to try something different and I ordered kofta. I got a box of sauce with three small pieces of kofta ... for the same price as the special. And the sauce doesn’t even taste that much different from butter chicken sauce. I am very disappointed. We had heard so much about this restaurant that this time during our visit to Calgary we had to try the food here and we were not disappointed. The food at Maharajah restaurant is exceptional!!The menu is extensive, you get to chose from number of different food items. We ordered paneer ... tikka, fish, kabobs, and malai kofta with garlic naan. All the items we ordered were very tasty and well prepared especially Malai kofta. One of the best Indian food in Calgary. The restaurant is located next to Calgary Tower. The ambiance is good and staff is very courteous. I had tried vegetarian food and really love the mix of the same. The food is very nice. You will enjoy Dal Makni and butter ... naan. So if you are in Calgary do visit this place. Read more
