Panago Pizza - Calgary, Alberta

I made an order for pick up, giving the store two and half hours ahead of time to ensure I had it in time for the game. At time of pick up, my nephew went in and paid. He was told be another 20 mins. 20 mins later, I went ... in and was told there was no order under my name. I said that didn’t make sense seeing as my nephew just paid. The staff kept saying nothing they could do, he finally went in the back and I heard him say ‘oh’. He came out with my order and told me I had to pay again because the receipt said not paid. I said so what did my nephew pay for. The guy just kept telling me I had to pay again. Thankfully, my nephew kept his receipt and I showed proof that I wasn’t paying again. Ordered for pickup and arrived at the stated time. Apparently one oven was out and so it was another 30 to get in the oven and 20 more for the pizza. Cant blame the staff (they were working their butts off) but the system should be able to tell that there is a ... huge backup (or perhaps the owner can). Ordered a strawberry rhubard pie and came frozen with no heating instructions. Called and customer service didn't know the instructions either but after a long wait gave some. Gave me a $5 credit that expires in 90 days. Talk about poor service!!! Update - the cooking instructions they finally gave were ... not correct as it was still frozen after heating for 10 minutes at 375 F. Panago - don't advertise something without a proper description (never mentions it is a frozen dessert) and don't sell something without instructions! What a comedy of errors! Read more

Let's start with what Panago is- it's a chain pizza place that offers pick up or delivery service. Their recipes can be prepared quickly and consistently and their is a simplicity to the flavours that I have always found please picky eaters when you are trying to feed kids. One thing I ... have actually come to really appreciate at Panago is their salads! They are priced very reasonably and you get a great sized bowl. Their customizable too. When I am busy I need a quick lunch to go, Panago salads are one of my go-to's. This location is clean and the service is fast and friendly. I have only done pick-up. Yesterday I picked up pizza and salads for a crew of 12 at noon and they had it ready in 15 minutes. Read more
