Villa Madina Lebanese Cuisine - Calgary, Alberta

Great customer service and excellent food. I have had villa Madina several times in greater Toronto area but food from this location just hit different. It was fresh and delicious. Especially the potatoes. Whenever I am in Calgary I would definitely get food from here.

“SORRY NEW MANAGEMENT” that’s what this one guy kept saying, I can’t recall his name. Rudy? Romeo? I don’t know. I always use to come here and I did notice it was new people, but the fact this manager kept repeating that to his customers I think it wasn’t music ... to their ears. I ordered a chicken skewers and I got barely any chicken(If only I took a picture) one piece of the chicken was undercooked and the salad I had was the beets salad, never will I eat that again. I WASN’T AWARE BEETS WERE SALTY! When I approached them to complain about my order, same guy had a big smile and was really expecting some type of good review. I told him that my chicken was undercooked and my salad was salty, the man said to me “Really sorry sir, we are under new management. Next time you come I promise we will make it better”. My question is why next time, why not all the time?I think maybe they need to hire better people for the job with experience in the kitchen. Today I had the best service and food. There was only one girl in the front, the one with the lovely eyelashes who was extremely nice and helpful. I told her to surprise me and give me whatever she thought was good. The meat was moist and her salad choice ... was perfect. For those complaining about the lack of salads, it's because everyone wants them and they're delicious. The server also kept in mind that I could not have any nuts or seeds so she made sure to not give me any food that contained it. She even asked me how my day was going which was a nice change from the bitter workers I've had at the other restaurants in Southcentre Mall. Over all, perfect. I'll be coming back. Read more

I used to eat here about once a week. I loved all the salad choices which were a healthy change from most of what is in the foodcourt. I went yesterday, and as I went to pick the salads I noticed a good 2/3rds of them were gone. ... Gone were the fresh veggies, fruit salads, and more. All that were left were a pasta salad, a couple old looking lettuce salads, and I think maybe a couscous (and a scaled back beat salad that I went with). When I asked about what happened to the others, the girl just pointed to an "under new management" sign and shrugged. Unless they bring back what was their usual fair, I will not be eating there ever again. If the new management doesn't reverse some of their decisions, I believe this "restaurant" will be gone within a year. Very disappointing. I hope the new owners see this and reverse their ways, back to what would have made it a good buy in the first place. In the meantime, I will eat elsewhere from now on. Read more
