Chick-fil-A - Calgary, Alberta

I have been wanting to visit one of these franchises for years. I happen to come across this Calgary airport location quite unexpectedly. I treated my family to a delicious lunch. It was amazingly awesome. Will definitely make it a regular airport stop. Update, this location closed 😪

I think this place is very over hyped. i thought that this place would be good from hearing it all over the media from the states. The chicken burgers were alright. The waffle fries are just shaped which look pretty cool but aren't that great tasting. I am beyond amazed. I drove al the way from Edmonton just to experience it for myself. Definitely need to open up more locations in Canada. Their food is absolutely delicious, and is always fresh. Prices are affordable, and the location is quite accessible. I love Chick-fil-A!

I don't think it is worth the hype at all. This being an America exclusive franchise, I thought it would be good. But the menu is not diverse, as you only have chicken to choose from. They don't even allow breakfast all day, which limits the choices. The chicken nuggets ... aren't even actual nuggets, just breast cut into square shapes... The waffle fries are just shaped potatoes, which aren't even peeled. I don't consider skin infested potatoes to be edible, so I only had a few. As for the drinks, lemonade was too sour and the "sweetened iced tea" is not the normal iced tea flavor from Nestea/Brisk etc that we're used to. It's more like a herbal tea that was sweetened? Either way, it was gross. I thought mixing the 2 would dilute the sourness from the lemonade and make the iced tea taste better, but no... it ended up tasting worst than the 2 drinks when they were separate. On Friday, November 17, 2017, we took our family to the Calgary airport just to enjoy the kids favorite chicken franchise from the United States. We went at supper time. It wasn't busy but it took 15 minutes for one order of chicken nuggets. The food was great but the ... service was poor. At one point, the cashier was not at the counter. There was a line up of people waiting to order and she was talking to staff at Nathan's hot dog trying haggle a deal for herself there. The people in line gave up and left and she did not even care. With poor service like that Chick- fil-a will not last long. I hope the service improves because we love the food. Read more
