Best lunch sandwiches around! Had the Italian lunch sandwich today! For under 11$ this is the best I've had! The bun is fresh, the brushetta left me wanting more! You can tell every bit of the sandwich is freshly made/cut. The staff members was very friendly, greeting me from the back while ... making another customers sandwich and tending to the line as quickly as she could. This place has always been a special place in my heart. I would say, it is one of THE best stores that I support. They have extensive and amazing oils and vinegars that pack with flavor. The hand made pastas and sauces that they have created go hand and hand ... with any high end restaurants. The crumb and bounce on the breads are the bomb. What can I say other than this place is amazing. From the olive oils and vinegars to the delicious pastas, pizzas and sandwiches, there isn't something that I've got from here that isn't amazing. What puts it over the top for me is their amazing and kind staff and customer service. They are ... always looking to give back to the community; from helping out with the veterans food bank to donating and fundraising for the many worthwhile causes and initiatives in the communities. I came in for pasta and walked out with a whole meal with dessert and feeling great. It had been a tough day with a toddler and I ran in to get something easy, delicious and crowd pleasing. I think I left with one of everything - including fresh bread - ... and a happy heart after a great conversation with Victoria. The food is a reason to come in, but being able to have a nice chat as you’re filling your bag (and eventually your tummy) is a major bonus and a reason I will be back. So happy to stumble on this small Italian deli in the South of Calgary (hidden behind Canyon Meadows theatre). Loved the Italian sandwiches today (pictured)! Also grabbed a salad for dinner, and you can pick your dressings on the oil/vinegar wall, amazing! Takeaway foods a plenty: homemade spreads, sauces, meatballs, ... salads, pastas and more.
