We loved the old Vintage Cafe and their food option. It was our hidden gem. However, the place has changed ownership, which is perfectly fine. But I really did not like the new owner's attitude and when I inquired about the old Ham and Cheese croissant, she went on explaining ... the new vision of the company to care more about the environment and health, which again, is awesome if executed correctly. But as you have seen from other reviews, all I felt was that she was talking down to me the whole time, and it went on for a tad too long that turned into a lecture by the end. It may not have been her intention, but that's how it came out. The coffee was okay and the fruit tea was actually really awesome. However, I don't think I will go out of my way to drive across town for this place anymore. Edit: you can clearly see the attitude of the owner in how they responded to my review. I recently discovered the 19th Street NW and its coffee shops, diners, ice cream, etc. The Vintage Caffeine quickly made me feel like coming back again. Nice quiet atmosphere, super clean, simple yet perfect menu (for those who know coffee) and on top of all very nice, smiley and respectful owner(s). Apparently, they ... recently took over the ownership with their idea of being a vegan cafe, no animal products and creating a beautiful peaceful cafe for those who share their idea. Or not! I am not vegan, but still appreciate a good cup of coffee with or without cow milk. Because for me, first is a good quality coffee beans, then what I add to it, it’s not that important. I read some negative reviews, not judging them at all, I just say let’s all respect each other, be mindful of ideas, enjoy something new even if you don’t believe in it. And to the owners, it’s ok to have negative reviews as well. All reviews, 5 or 1 star help to improve your business. I love coffee, and coffee shops. And to be honest, even though, I like milk in my coffee, still I will keep going here. I do not mind adding oat milk, soya milk, almond milk, it’s all good for variety and change. In my conclusion, it is a great place to enjoy a really good quality coffee, a yummy pastry, meeting your friends and socializing. Wandered in and was really impressed. The food was delicious, but it was the friendly and welcoming attitude of the owners that made this a wow experience. Oh, the gluten free care and quality was unreal. 5 star recommended!

Every time we visit this coffee shop, the vibes are immaculate 👌 My partner says this is the best mocha he’s ever had, and I absolutely love their lavender matcha latte. I love that I don’t have to think about subbing in plant based milk 😭🙏 We tried every empanada ... flavour and each one is so delicious! Jennifer and V are such sweet owners! This place is incredible such a cozy vibe and the staff is so awesome especially Enrique and his empanadas they’re so delicious you have to try one!
