Wonton King - Calgary, Alberta

I came here with my wife and her friend after a convention. All of the tables were dirty and sticky...the "bar style" stainless steel countertop looks like it never gets cleaned. I didnt end up ordering any food myself based on my first impression; if you cant keep your tables clean, ... there is no chance in hell that their kitchen would be clean.. My first time visiting Wonton King in many years. Still delicious, but today, I noticed that the wontons are only about half the size as they used to be, otherwise I would have given them 5 Stars. Brutal. Wonton King used to be a Calgary institution, now it’s just a rip off. Owners kids getting greedy, jacking the price for smaller portions - the bowl is half size now and only 3 wontons for $15!!??? I will not be coming back and extremely disappointed. Still a good bowl of soup. Not crazy about the new bowls

Never disappointed with the food here. Though I tend to find the soup in a queen size is better then the king size. But easily my 2nd favorite place to get dumplings in the city. Great staff clean facility and mouth watering food.
