I'm afraid I have to agree with Kendra. It's an end to an era in terms of Chinese takeout in Glamorgan. We've been ordering from Golden leaf ever since we moved here in 1989. Was always good; a real treat. Ownership has changed at least once ... in the last little while. Thought we'd give them one last chance last night and we won't be ordering from them again. First time we ordered from here. The food was excellent and arrived at the time we asked for. Will order again when we have a craving for Chinese food. The shrimp was plump and juicy. The Chow Mein had nice flavor with the BBQ pork. The Beef and snow peas ... was tender and tasty. Read more

Mother ordered dinner tonight as we’ve been ordering from golden leaf since I was young no problems im deadly allergic to seafood and never had a problem with the wong tong soup they changed management and when my mother came home I noticed it had vegetables and it never does ... so for precaution we called turns out I would of been hospitalized due to there being seafood. No where on the menu does it state this I have no dinner now and could’ve been hospitalized they took quite a while to figure it out as well not knowing what’s in it. Beware, the food is NOT FRESH! I've ordered from Golden Leaf for years and food quality has gone downhill since their change in management. I've given them three chances, just to be sure, and now I'm sure I'll never order from them again. Last order cost me over ... $70 and I got salt and pepper squid that was all batter and air with a tiny pieces of squid inside, ginger beef with fresh and non-fresh pieces mixed in and a tiny bit of sauce at the bottom, stale tasting beef in the black bean sauce and on and on ... and they had the audacity to automatically charge a tip on the online order. What they think they're doing extra to earn a tip is beyond me. I'm convinced they will be out of business again in a few months. Do yourself a favor and avoid at all costs, the food is that bad! After a long return to the SW and very happy to see that the Golden Leaf is even better than before. From the phone call to place the order, to pick up, to eating it all was an amazing experience. The chicken balls full of meat and lightly battered, ... the ginger chicken was perfectly cooked, the veggies, the noodles, the spring rolls, ect. To the owners and cooks and front staff please don't change a thing, keep up the good work! We will return! Read more
