The best Chinese food in Calgary!! Peking Duck dinner is to die for! Sooo much food definitely feeds more then 1

Being half Chinese, I often get cravings for good, authentic, Cantonese food. Ginger Beef is great because it can accommodate myself and also to accommodate my boyfriend who just wants a combo with sweet and sour chicken balls. Their prices are reasonable and portions are big, like what you'd expect ... from most Chinese restaurants. Peking duck is great here and cheap too (you have option of a 2 course or 3 course meal). There's often big round tables reserved for large parties and sometimes the staff can get really busy attending to them but they still do a good job of being friendly and attentive. Read more

Had the lunch buffet today. Was so good! 2 kinds of soup, fresh food, great dumplings, good variety for the price. Really enjoyed it and will be back soon! Friendly, fast customer service. Awesome!

We ordered for delivery Sunday night the 16th, the food arrived within the hour indicated. When we sat down to eat our $75.00 worth of food the 4 of us found to our major disappointment that the food was very sub par. Among the items we ordered was 2 orders of ... dumplings, both had been half cooed as you can see from the pictures, basically 1/2 raw. The salt and pepper shrimp was dry and basically a box of onions. This franchise exists on its previous name and reputation. We have lived in Calgary for over 40 years and knew the Ginger Beef Restaurants food very high quality, however over the last 3 years it has gone down and I would rate as some of the worst. The one in Cranston is even worse. As an aside does anyone know of a good one located in the Sundance area?
