Food is delicious! The chicken pot was amazing and so does other dishes! Definitely worth to try, two people ordered one pot, two dim sum, a dessert and two drinks= $28/person.

This is definitely a great place to enjoy dim sum with friends and family. The food taste fresh and delicious and it comes in good amounts. The service is what you'd expect from a Chinese restaurant, they will make sure you have your water or tea full but won't bother you like ... many other places asking if everything is alright. You do have to get their attention if you want to order more or need something specific though. The atmosphere is good, nothing to be raging about but it has good lighting and it's clean. I've been coming to Bobby Chao's for years (and ordering the same dishes). Tonight I received a awfully oily meal. Every bite of the rice tasted oily and off so I split the portions until I found a disgusting pool of oil in the bottom of the take out container. I ... collected about 3.5 tablespoons of oil from the bottom of this container and was disgusted at the the volume.. Especially considering there's probably an equal amount still in the rice dish! Bring your appetite! There are so many delicious options it's hard to choose so I will give you my top three go to dishes: 1) Lemon chicken - lightly battered and never dry. I absolutely love how they serve this dish with the sweet lemon sauce on the side. 2) Hot and ... sour soup - a great starter to share especially on a cold day this dish is guaranteed to warm you up as it has a bit of a kick to it. 3) Salt and pepper tofu - a great vegetarian option perfectly fried always crispy. 5 stars dim sum experience today, I was surprised that no reservation was necessary but my call ahead booked us a choice large table by the window. Our menu highlights today included salt and pepper pork chops, deep fried BBQ pork pastries, beef chow fun, and shrimp dumpies. Staff was ... just awesome and friendly, got us everything we needed. The flavours and textures and serving temperatures were all on point, and this Edgemont location was such a win being able to avoid driving and parking downtown.
