Good service, good atmosphere and good food. The broccolini was delicious. I found that what we ordered all had a bit of acid, we should have really paid attention if there was lemon or what not with our dishes. I do love a little acid, but the dishes can be a ... little too similar for the palette. Cocktails were tasty. We weren’t sure what the food scene was like in downtown Calgary but Ten Foot Henry got recommended to us and we were intrigued. They had a lot of vegetable dishes for a menu and they all sounded very good, so we made a reservation. And let me tell you, ... before we even finished our meal, we made reservations to come back the next day for early dinner before our flight. That’s how good the food was. We had 7 different dishes between the 2 days and it is served family style which I think is the way to go! Sharing dishes is how food is meant to be experienced, in my opinion. My favourite was the gigli pasta, scallops and the cabbage, but everything else, the cauliflower, the potatoes, spaghetti and Henry’s salad were phenomenal. There’s something about the gigli pasta, the shape of the pasta, the textures, the sauce and the slight hint of tang that makes me want more. Absolute delicious! Quick visit to Calgary and so glad I picked this restaurant. The food is made with fresh ingredients which you can taste, no overpowering seasoning, just the best, all flavors are from the ingredient itself. You feel full happy and light but crave another bite. The note, texture ... and hint from micro greens is fantastic. Waitress is very attentive and pleasant, drink is also delicious. Despite my initial attempt to order some of the meat related items on the menu everyone seemed to be getting the vegan/vegetarian items and this is what the place is known for so I participated. The service was amazing, our server was very friendly and gave us recommendations for every item. The ... atmosphere was very green and felt like a modern restaurant mixed with a forest with everything being wood based and vines hanging from the walls and ceiling. Again I was very skeptical ordering the vegan/vegetarian dishes but I was proven wrong as every dish we ordered was incredible and had amazing flavour brought out by the ingredients. The Henry Salad had crisp salad and mushrooms which added flavour and crunch to the bites as well as a dressing which added incredible flavour. The roasted cauliflower was my favourite dish as the cauliflower was fresh and the dressing elevated the dish to put this as my favourite vegan dish that I’ve tried. Finally the potatoes which were some of the best I’ve ever had, they were cooked perfectly and crisp to the bite as well as seasonings and cream on top that made it perfect.
