Swiss Chalet Rotisserie & Grill - Calgary, Alberta

As far as Swiss Chalet restaurants go, this one is pretty good overall. Staff were friendly, service was quick, tables were clean, drinks were filled promptly and the food tasted good. The atmosphere is really cozy here and when we visited there weren't too many people here (was rather late ... in the evening right before closing). The only thing wrong with my visit was the chicken wings on our quarter chicken meals were burnt pretty bad. This isn't the only Swiss chalet to have done this in my experience though so it isn't unique to this restaurant. Overall I would recommend this restaurant. Read more

Went out of my way to spend a gift card; ordered online for takeout. Showed up on time and food was hot and ready; needed to step out and back in to complete the transaction though. Separate tills, not marked well outside. Food was good, not great; plenty of meat heaped ... on the sandwich. Sauces were standard powdered/premixef fare. Not sure I would return, or pay full price in the future. Cost/quality ratio feels a bit low. Read more

One of my favourite Swiss chalet locations! (As I dislike the one on memorial drive.) Service here is usually great, a lot of new people often so sometimes it can be slow but the foods always great. We always had a super nice waitress. It's clean and well kept!

Take Out Buyers Beware! Check your food prior to leaving. I order here quite often, but the last time I ordered here a few weeks ago, two pieces of chicken seemed like it sat out all day under the warmer. The skin was chewy, the meat was dry and tough. ... The service was awful, waited approximately 20 minutes before a server came and brought menus...and it never got any better. Heard a elderly woman complain that she had been waiting over 15 minutes for her drink and the waitress snapped at her and told her she would get it ... when she could!! The chicken was so dry...the stuffing tasted funny..french fries so dry! Always enjoyed Swiss Chalet but that experience has changed my mind...never again!!! Read more
