The Blues Can - Calgary, Alberta

We were there on Sunday after 2pm just in time for a lovely Blues jam set with various musicians. Amazing performers. Had Cajun food for dinner. Really good. Waitress was super friendly, prompt and super amazing server.

Amazing little spot. I'm sad it's days are numbered due to development. We had frog legs and catfish and chips. It was delicious. Beers were cold and the music was great. Hope to be back before its gone.

I went for the first time in like 25 years last weekend and it was a great time! One friends of mine were playing so my girlfriend and I decided to have a date night. We ordered some food. And way too many beers! She had the shrimp Po boy. ... It was good, the shrimp was crisp, the feg was fresh, nothing got too soggy, sauce was flavorful. The corn bread... Wow!!! I could have eaten a whole tray to myself! I had the mac and cheese. It had a good kick. Lots of jalapenos, the chorizo was good. It wasn't too runny and it didn't seize as some house mad mac and cheese have a tendency to do. All in all it was a great night and it's beyond sad and disappointing such a great little piece of Calgary music heritage is being replaced by more condos. I will miss it! Read more
