Three stars only, because of the small portions. I eat regularly at Bourbon St., Grill downtown and Chinook Center. The portions at this location are near half the size that I get at Chinook center. It’s also a higher price. You guys need to standardize this, and train better. ... Last time I came to market mall, I got more than I got this time. You have to set up some kind of benchmark, and stick to it. As a regular bourbon Street grill fan, I would normally have give the place five stars. Today you get three. We shared Combo #3. Louisiana chicken was ok. The mango chicken was awful - apart from being dry with no sauce - the pieces consisted of gibbly, fatty chunks - no real pieces of chicken and tons of batter. You couldn't really tell it was chicken. The green beans ... were so garlicky we couldn't eat them. The fried rice was starchy with a weird texture. A solid spot for lunch after some shopping at Market Mall! First of all, the portions are always large, the plates are usually stuffed to the brim with food and the staff don’t shy away from giving a lot of meat. Each time I’ve visited, the food is still hot ... with good flavour and quality overall. The prices are average and the service is decent. $12 and change for what they call a veggie combo. No drink, no rice, no noodles. All fairness it is $9 for the combo of 2 veggies and I added one making the total nearly $13. Not worth it, nevermind the suspect veggies I did get...picture attached.
