The store seemed like a really good atmosphere for tournaments and they had a good and organized selection. I went in to bring some pokemon cards to sell that I have been collecting, and the guy behind the counter made me feel like I was bothering him by being there. I ... was trying to get a good price for some cards and ended up leaving 3 with them for 4$ (50% retail price-reasonable and appropriate policy) but I didn’t bother with showing the rest of my cards cause I was feeling so embarrassed by the way I was being treated. I understand that staff are people too and have bad days, but I felt really unwelcome. I went to another place to see if that’s the way all these kinds of stores are and they were wayyy more friendly. They even helped me sort my stuff out and gave me advice on how to sell on my own. When I showed them what cards I had sold they felt bad for me and told I should have gotten way more than 4 dollars. I don’t like leaving negative reviews but I don’t want another girl like me going in and having the same experience I did. I don’t think I will be returning here for any reason. Read more

Great little shop, only ever go for MTG products but they still almost always have what I need, counter not usually that busy, most people come in to play at the tables, or I just luck out on timing. Very Knowledgeable staff when it comes to their products. ... Plus they have a sale table so can find some old gems, from many different franchises, whether MTG, Pokemon, Yu-Gi-Oh, etc.. Read more

It’s rare, but every once in a while you encounter a store where the customer service is so bad, you feel like you’re the bad guy for wanting to spend money. Staff are cold and typically rude when you try to engage with them. I just can’t spend my money in ... this store with good conscience anymore. Edit: Yugioh cards? What are you talking about? Easily one of my favourite card shops! The guys there are super nice and helpful. The tournaments held there are well organized and tons of fun as well! Would highly recommend checking them out for all your card and board game needs!

Legit, RAD spot from what I was able to see today - recently getting back into Pokemon TCG collecting and completing a couple sets and helping the kiddos build their own. Met Charlie today, an absolute GEM. He was friendly, helpful, and answered my Q’s. Full transparency, I was a bit ... nervous, since it’s been many years since seriously collecting and I typically always found myself on the less knowledgeable side way back then. But Charlie made it easy to have a chat, and wasn’t at all pretentious. Had heard of Shoebox before, but was my first time stopping in for a playmat and a bit of a browse. Excellent selection of niche tabletop games as well, and well rounded for supplies and TCG content. Looking forward to visiting again! Read more
