Warm and inviting. Had a great tea served in an actual tea pot with loose leaf tea...what a difference in taste. Friendly staff.. nice selection of scones..muffins..sandwiches..fresh.. A real espresso maker A touch of European flavor

Love going to coffee shops that aren't part of a big chain. Love their earl grey tea latte- always hot and tasty. They recently started serving new food items (new vendor I believe) and they are great. Love the banana bread- so fresh!! Can always find a place to sit ... and even though they are busy the wait is never very long. Staff is friendly and know you by name. Overall, great choice in the heart of downtown. Read more

I went in for the first time in 7 years, because I remember it being a great place when I first moved to the city. Ordered a Tall latte and mocha, got a Grande. (I thought I was getting a medium... my bad probably). The wait was long, but the ... coffee was worth it. Much better then Starbucks, just under Phil and Sebastian. Where the experience fell over was the pastries. I ordered an almond croissant and a regular butter croissant, neither were edible. I am French, I know my croissant, and these were at least 24 hours stale, if not more. Not wrapped, they had probably been left in the display overnight. I have had better pastries from supermarkets. I was charged 8 dollars for two stale pastries that were thrown away as soon as I took a bite. By the time I figured it out, I was already halfway out of downtown, or I would have gone right back to return them. This is unacceptable for a high end coffee shop. As a result, I will never eat there again, and I would suggest to anyone to avoid the food. If they can't handle pastries, I don't even want to think about the rest... Read more
