Went here for the first time today and was pretty disappointed overall. Our waitress was very nice and friendly, but the food was overcooked yet somehow still cold I would not recommend

Arrived mid afternoon today and waited almost 15 minutes before even got acknowledged. Another 10 minutes for drinks and ordering. Hamburger was cold, not cooked properly and couldn't get original server to come over. As we were leaving GM brought us out a fresh Hamburger to go. That was ... greatly appreciated. Overall, we had a ton of fun. Everyone should visit here at least once; it’s quite an experience. This casual diner is an institution with its combination of truckstop/kitsch factor and typical greasy-spoon comfort food. I think this place is almost always extremely busy – and perhaps a bit understaffed ... – so be prepared for a possible long wait to be seated as well as to order food. The service staff all try their best, and they have hearts of gold, so be sure to tip them generously. Great coffee and breakfast bagels. I don’t think I’ve ever had pancakes like theirs – light & fluffy but so crispy on the outside! I ordered the famous lemon meringue pie, just because it makes for a very Instagrammable shot, but, as far as taste goes, it wasn’t the greatest as the curd was almost watery. Old school diner with yummy hearty food. Still love the old train on the ceiling. 68 years later. Great food. Great service.

I understand this is a staple for quite a lot of folks. If you’re looking for a blast to the past, and a place with decent ingredients, this will do. However, I came here on people’s recommendations about the well rounded nature of the diner. Its safe to say I was ... disappointed. The only good point was the servers but even then, the food was just mid tier. Nothing worth writing home about and definitely not worth going out of my way for. We ordered the club and the burger. The sandwich bread was just dempsters and piled in with lettuce. The most heart breaking thing was the limp bacon sitting all flaccid over my burger. Maybe my expectations were too high, but for a breakfast place, I was really hoping for that crispy bacon crunch. Overall, wouldn’t go again but I kept the food down so that’s a win! Read more
