The Chopped Leaf - Calgary, Alberta

I ordered 4 bowls for the family -- the signature, Santa Fe, bold buffalo, and Bangkok. The veggies and sauce were fresh and tasted fine. But this is the first time I've seen such small portions of veggies and toppings -- probably close to half to 2/3 of what's offered ... at other salad chains/location. I’ve avoided chopped leaf for some time now only because the price of eating healthy has gotten out of control. I’m by no means hard up for money but when it comes down to $50 for two small little healthy salads and a drink that’s getting a little out of ... hand chopped leaf. This isn’t about that though this time. Not sure where communication got lost at the till, but when I ask for double chicken very clearly in my wrap and then start eating it after I took it away to munch.. zero chicken in it. I bring it back more than half way done and show the gal.. there’s no chicken !? She says I put no protein for your order.. seems like no one listens to customers these days. Darn shame. The cost of food, eating out as well….its high. Gotta put little more effort and love into these jobs. Certainly when it’s overpriced for what it is. Won’t be back to chopped leaf again. Read more

Service was excellent. Salad was good except there were several pieces of lettuce that were not good, slimy.

I have been to other locations of chopped leaf a couple of times, had really great experience. But at royal oak location, the quantity of food was very low. I ordered Harvest salad and bangkok salad with a soup for 2 people. (Look at the presentation of food) There was literally ... nothing except spinach and lettuce. I paid $42 and it wasn’t worth paying that much. I’ll never suggest anyone going to that place. Read more
