Steels Cafe & Grill - Calgary, Alberta

We saw the menu online and went for breakfast. We weren’t staying at the hotel but we’re hoping to order off the menu. Sadly it was buffet only and cost $20 per person. It was horrible. The hash browns were like gravel, eggs cold. Won’t go back. Horribly disappointing.

If you're not staying at the hotel you are not allowed to dine here. Came here looking for breakfast because it looked better than McDonald's and I was not allowed in without a breakfast voucher from the hotel.

Stopped in for breakfast (not staying at the hotel) because the reviews looked good. That was a mistake. Everything was cold, gummed together and dry. If you want greasy, gummy sausages and clumps of bacon with paper thin, cracker dry french toast, this is the place for you.

I stay here with the airlines. It was super cold out so I didn’t want to leave the hotel. I was wonderfully surprised. Best Reuben I have ever had. Service is great.

We were staying at the hotel and were grabbing breakfast the next day. Didn't eat from the continental breakfast since we felt the selection was too simple. The menu for breakfast was sufficient and the food was pretty good but nothing extravagant. For what you're paying, I would say just ... fine. Did not eat dinner or lunch there. Did notice that they have a Sunday brunch which we didn't partake but boy did it look great! Such a wide selection of things to eat!! Maybe next time we'll try their Sunday brunch. Read more
