Went in for the Calgary Smoked Meat Sandwich and was not disappointed. I’ve lived in Montreal now for 13 years so I know a good smoked meat. A very decent sandwich! The best prime rib I’ve had here in Alberta. I got the 12oz cut and it was Thick! Juicy, tender, and savoury. It comes with Yorkshire pudding, your choice of side (mine was fries), veggies, horseradish. My partner ordered their ribeye steak, which she really liked. There wasn’t enough fat ... marbling, although it has a really good char flavour and tender to bite. I think the superstar of the night was the ‘kiddie spaghetti’! It was meant for my toddler, but I ate half of the plate! The cheesy meat sauce was really flavourful and I was hoping they’re selling a jar of it. The ambience was a bit crowded and dark for us. I got the chef’s omelette and my husband got the Traditional Benny’s - We both loved our plates. Brunch is $33+tax, which includes assorted pastry basket for the table one choice of brunch item and unlimited dessert. They have a dessert buffet!! Drinks are not included in the price. Wanted to start off this review with much appreciation towards our server, Marvin. My family and I went yesterday for dinner to try out Smugglers for the first time and it did not disappoint. Marvin took really great care of us, one of the best service we have ever experienced. He recommended ... us dishes such as the short rib (which I hope stays on the menu). It was absolutely massive and delicious. We also try the mini plank which included different types of meat (beef ribs was one of our favourites).
