We went looking for breakfast and challenged my husband on going to a greasy spoon instead of our usual fancy place. Sure the design is a bit dated, but they win you with the food & service. We split a hungry man breakfast $20. The staff on ... their own volition brought it out on two plates, that was a pleasant surprise that we appreciated. This will be our go-to for sit down breakfast. This is the best resturant in Calgary, All their food fresh and have very good taste to it, I loved their Burgers and Sandwiches.

Simple Old style truck stop diner, was a welcome find as these places are becoming harder and harder to come by. Food was tasty and plentiful (good classic diner food, nothing fancy but cant be beat) service was laid back, friendly and attentive. Prices are great compared to pretty much ... everywhere else. I was pleasantly surprised about this dining experience. I haven't even considered eating at the Husky restaurant due to deteriorating reputation over the last couple decades. A friend of mine invited me telling me this place has really picked up lately and the food is great. So I met ... him there, ordered the hamburger steak and he ordered the steak sandwich. Both entrees were well received and mine was very tasty and filling. The only issue I had was the extreme price. $20 for a hamburger steak and coffee. Heavy inflation? Or jacked up prices just because the people are expecting this? Not sure which it is. Nevertheless, the restaurant was full to capacity which speaks volumes to it's quality. The building is far from appealing from the outside, but the treasure lies within. I will return to try the steak sandwich special. Read more

Hidden gem. Home style cooking, lots of food, friendly service and great prices. Hotel not serving breakfast due to COVID and this place does the trick (and they follow protocols). So good we were back for more!! Yes, the pan fried hash browns live up to their reputation.
