Calgary Zoo - Calgary, Alberta

A fantastic place to spend the day (and many more days) with kids. The season membership is worthwhile if you live in Calgary or frequent it with children. While the animals are great, don’t forget to check out the beautiful garden, especially when the peonies and rose are in bloom. Visited on a Tuesday and it wasn't very busy. Loved to walk between the areas and displays. Liked the wolves, bears, lemurs and penguins 🐧 Prepare for over 5km of walk if you plan to see most exhibits. Kids play areas are massive and very entertaining for kids.

You can't beat the Calgary Zoo for a family outing!! There is so much to see and do FOR EVERY AGE GROUP! You can also pack a picnic lunch if you want to make it more economical. It's nice and clean, and the staff are so helpful! We spent ... most of a day and only saw about half of the Zoo. At the end of the day everyone gets to pick what was their favorite? The penguins, the lemurs....the Snow Lepard! We're already looking forward to our next visit!! Read more

10/10 Zoo. Loved it. Took three and a half hours to try and see "everything" with the kids. Found three play areas for them. Unsung heroes of this zoo are, without a doubt, the gardeners and landscapers - wow! The plants in this zoo are wonderful. Also, taking the C-Train to ... the zoo worked perfectly. Read more

Calgary Zoo is a great place to hang out with kids. Amazing to see so many different kinds of animals all in one place. I personally was impressed that there are polar bears and red pandas. There is also a dinosaur area. The day we went ... was a cloudy rainy kind of day and we had to wait at the shelters and gift shop at times, but it was still a very fun day overall. Read more
