Insadong Korean BBQ Restaurant - Calgary, Alberta

I returned to one of my mainstays from the past today and it was still decent. While not my favourite Korean restaurant in Calgary, this place still stands the test of time. The gamjatang being on special for 9.99 is a great deal and the flavour is still there.

Very calm and quiet place, the food was amazing. We ordered chicken wings, tempura, and pork bulgogi, each better than the last. The servers were always in reach if we needed anything. Will be back maybe times with friends.

Feels like a detective from a korean series while eating this delightful jajangmeon (black bean noodle), their fried chicken have a very distinct taste, it is now my kids favourite chicken, and youll never hear them say that from the other chicken that they have tasted. Good food, bad service! Not even busy! Just plain lazy staff not checking their clients if all food has been served. We’re currently eating now, we already finished our meat but bo rice came. I followed up and was asked “do you still want your rice?”. My first visit here ... was great. Today December 19th at 1:30pm was terrible experience. Please hire better staff. They were just loitering! I have pictures my rice came after we finished our meat, lol! Regardless, we came for food. Hopefully on our next visit it would be a better experience just like our first. This place is our to go to always. You will never go wrong. The food is always fantastic. The price is reasonable. The staffs are awesome.
