Town and Country Hotel - Calgary, Alberta

I've stayed here a bunch of times over the years and it was never perfect but was always my first chose. But after this stay I will never be coming back here, room is freezing cold and can feel the wind blowing from outside in my room and no way ... to turn up the heat, patio door doesn't even lock, been here 3days and haven't even seen a maid, elevator has been broken over a year, there was a fire on top floor a year ago and still smells like it happened yesterday in my room, not to mention they have increased the prices for a week stay so now there are many better options in the city for same price or cheaper. We love this place just stayed there this weekend. Very friendly and accommodating staff who are all very friendly. Snacks drinks and coffee at the front desk. Great hot showers with lots of water pressure. We even had a smoking room >>> Bonus. Obviously not a 5 star hotel but ... we also did not pay 5 star prices. So princess's stay away. We had an event on August 7, 2019 for approximately 50 people. The food presentation as well as the quality of food was excellent and the service was absolutely perfect. The management and staff went above and beyond everything that we asked for and did an outstanding job. The smoking rooms are gross, and we were initially put in one without requesting. We asked for a clean room and were then given a non-smoking one and it was way better! Food downstairs was pretty good too. Place is great for its price.

Great place to stay if you're looking for some place to rest your head for the night & that's it. We were flying back from out of the country & didn't want to drive home that night. Good value for the money. Rooms were ... dated, but clean. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast offered downstairs for a very reasonable price & the food was good. Breakfast is not part of the restaurant in the bar which was good for us because we have two kids. Read more
