69 Flavors of wings for $0.39 on Wednesday and Sundays. Need I say more lol....... Wings were Yummy we tried 4 Flavors and they were all so good, can't wait to try them all. We had the : Thelma and Louise (Mango Chipotle and jalapeno cheddar) Mustang Sally (Teriyaki with tequila lime sauce) Nacho Daddy ... (dry Nacho and taco spice) Honey Chipotle – Real Honey + Chipotle Sauce Fries were good, Love this big Rock pear cider Service was great, it was busy but good atmosphere. Never again. The service we experienced was horrific. The waitress was garbage and rude. We were polite. My dad just had a heart attack and we had decided to stop with our mom on the patio for a quick bite to eat after being at the hospital for 2 days. ... It was not good food either. Wings are average. Don’t believe what you read. I am not ok with how bad the waitress was. Shame on whoever’s running the place. Winkin owl should be a great place to go. I’ve lived in deer run since 1990. Sad. Hope the owners wake up and start taking the place serious and “run thier business”. Read more

The winking owl has been a staple for me and many members of my community for well over 12 years. It’s like a second home. I look forward to Wednesday because Wednesday is wing night at this fine establishment. Now the wink employs a young woman named Anya who always ... greets me with a welcoming smile, professionalism, and dedication to the customer despite the challenges of managing service on a wing night. When I walked in I had the feeling that there was a lack of joy amongst the patrons and staff. It certainly has been a trying time for businesses, especially restaurants and pubs here in Calgary. The decor and layout are quite decent here. The food, in particular the potato skins are ... delicious and presented beautifully. They are not called potato skins here,I forget the name that they use. There in lies the source of disappointment that I feel about my time here. I asked the woman working in the bar what they were and I received an icy cold response. 🥶 At first I thought it might just be my interpretation of her communication style but then I watched her yell with vitriol at a few other patrons at the bar too. I was quite shocked to see that and would have left if I had not already ordered and been there to meet someone who truly likes this place. It seems that she is resentful of working there and the people that she serves. The sad thing is that the regular patrons who were getting yelled at almost seemed resigned to accepting this behavior which suggests to me that it may not be the first time. It makes sense to me why there is no joy in this place at all. Read more
